Rousseau's Summit Map - *UPDATED*

Rousseau's Summit Map is the third map use to create the triangle seen in episode 114, Special.

It was never shown in detail until profilesinhistory.com, the official site of "LOST - The Auction", released a photo of the map:

Here you can see my translation of this map (Click on the image to see a bigger version of it).

Note that this translation is subjective. Partial words were completed using images from episode 114, Special.

The Island in the "LOST: The Complete Collection"

In the "LOST: The Complete Collection" DVD/Blu Ray Set there will be a replica of the Island. Here is an high quality artwork showing all the contents of the set.

I corrected the perspective of the image, to show how the Island replica will appear.

It's, of course, visible a never-seen-before smaller island in the south-eastern coast: it appears that we have now confirmation of the position of Hydra Island. Hopefully, an helpful hint in locating all the places visited by the Losties on the Island.

Complete Rousseau's Map with Notations

During the Comic-Con 2009, in San Diego, there was a special booth where a lot of original props, costumes and objects from the show were exposed to the public, as they will be auctioned in May 2010, when the show ends. One of the props that were exposed was Rousseau's Map of the Island.
A fan managed to take a photo of the objects, Map included. The original photo can be seen here.
Considering the not-bad quality of the photo, I tried to decipher part of the before unseen notations on the Map. In these images you can see all the notations (in French and translated in English) that is possible to understand. Note that most of the notations weren't deciphered by me, but by Lostpedia User "Zholmboe" (Zholmboe's page can be seen at this link). Also, I'm not French, and I never studied French, so it is possible that the french writing could be wrong.

Arzt's Map

Arzt's Map was featured in the Season 3 episode Exposé (314) and was supposed to help Nikki and Paulo finding the luggage with the diamonds in it. The map brought them to The Pearl, while the luggage was in the same Waterfall Kate and Sawyer found the Halliburton Case in. Thanks to Brian, now we have a good screenshot of that map. I tried to enhance the map, but the result wasn't as good as hoped. Here it is.This is my representation of that map (sorry, but my drawing skills are not very good...)Something to note is:

• the lines in the upper part of the map seem to resemble one of the two mountain ranges (possibly the west one).
  
• the lines in the lower part seem to be waves, representing the ocean but they could be captions and notes written by Arzt. We just cannot know.
• there are two zones marked with "X". It's possible the central one is the Beach Camp, or the Cave. As for the one on the right, it could be the area around the Pearl, the area near the Waterfall or somewhere else, depending on: Arzt's real skills in determining trajectories; Nikki an Paulo's ability to travel through the Island; and the fact that the map is hardly in scale.
• I obviously flipped the image: we see the map "through" the piece of paper, as the map is drawn on the other side.

New Radio Tower-Cabin Map

Considering the re-enhanced version of the Radio Tower Map, I tried to remake the Radio Tower-Cabin Map.
But first I just wanted to highlight how the two maps can be one and the same. Just taking a look at these images you can definitely conclude that they have to be the same map.

Anyway, I made two maps (one b/w, the other with the usual colours). Here they are.

Note: I know the coloured map seems strange... In fact it is... The problem is that the Cabin Map doesn't seem very accurate... So sometimes I have to guess.

Radio Tower Map Re-Enhanced

Here is just a new version of the Radio Tower Map. The previous one wasn't exactly accurate; this isn't perfect, but is surely better than the first one.

I've just corrected a problem caused by incorrect perspective (my fault). Now it should be more accurate than before.

Radio Tower and Cabin Maps

A map that caught my attention was Ben's map to the Radio Tower in the Season 3 Finale. It was the first time we actually saw a map where the Losties' camp was signed, as well as other locations (Barracks, Pascal Flats, the Radio Tower itself).
But the most interesting thing is that, 11 episodes later, during Cabin Fever, we saw another map that, apparently, nobody noted was very very similar to the previous map. If we take a look to the Cabin Map (the one with the blueprints of uncle Jacob's Cabin ;)) we can recognize some of the landmarks we saw in the Radio Tower's map: the mountains are exactly the same (or almost exactly, because the Cabin Map is not as accurate as the other map), and even the coastlines! Moreover, the Cabin Map gives us the position of Jacob's Cabin and some rivers (I think I can count seven rivers) that weren't on Ben's Map.
I tried, then, to create a new map, a reconstruction of both maps. The result, however, is not as good as my previous map, but it's a try.
I coloured white the uncertain parts.
So... What do you think?

Enhanced Maps

When we see maps in episodes of the show, they are often shot to strange angles that make difficult the riproduction of the maps.

Luckily I found a software that, even though wasn't created for this aim, is very useful in such cases.

Here are some of the maps I managed to enhance, namely Ben's Radio Tower map, Daniel's Tempest map, Ben's Temple map and Horace's Cabin map.

If you need any map to enhance, just tell me and I'll try to provide you with the maps you need.

I added some coastlines to this map using a couple of screencaps from the end of the episode 408 (roughly at time 39:34). If someone can provide me with HD screencaps, I could make something better.
